Under the close supervision of the Prison Industries Superintendent I (Optical Products), the Program Technician is responsible for using specific Medi-Cal Optical program criteria in the receiving, screening, data entry, shipping, customer service and transportation processes of performing orders for prescription eye wear and warehouse duties as needed. Incumbent will provide supervision of at least two (2) incarcerated workers and data entry of incarcerated worker's time into SOMS. Employees having regular, direct responsibility for work supervision, on-the-job training, and work performance evaluation of at least two incarcerated individual workers who substantially replace civil service employees for a total of at least 120 hours per pay period may be eligible for Pay Differential 67.
