Reports to : Imaging Supervisor
Classification : Non-Exempt
Salary Range : Starting $55.00-$80.00 / hour DOE and based on education / experience
Summary :
The PET / CT Technologist provides age-specific care, education and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team of the Center.
Radioisotopes most commonly performed include : PSMA, FDG, Dotatate, Cerianna, and Amyloid tracers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the Center
- Ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way
- Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administer contrast agents and / or radiopharmaceuticals
- Produces high quality diagnostic images.
- Conduct patient history taking and answering all relevant queries before the procedure
- Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Make sure that the equipment is in a proper working condition
- Participate in QC and PI activities
- Maintain own clinical competency and mandatory requirements
- Age-specific care (Pediatric to Adult) or (Neonates to Geriatric).
- Sedated Pediatric Scans
- Ability to confirm physician orders and assist scheduling team to ensure proper patient flow.
- Ability to contact patients to provide proper scan prep instructions and scan education
