Under the direction of the Investment Services (IS) Associate Investment Manager (AIM), the Investment Officer II (IO II) will perform the journey working level investment analysis and will be responsible for day-to-day activities of the acquisition, management, and analysis of market data to support investment decision-making within the Investment Office (INVO). The IO III will maintain a positive and collaborative team approach while demonstrating CalPERS’ Core Values of Quality, Respect, Integrity, Openness, Accountability, and Balance in accordance with personal work ethic in alignment with CalPERS Investment Beliefs.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Onsite and virtually, responsible for Market Data vendor management which includes oversight of the acquisition, procurement, integration, and maintenance of market data from various vendors, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Onsite and virtually, assist in the development and implementation of processes, controls, and tools needed to support a centralized, Total Fund Market Data Services function inclusive of account management, benchmark governance, contractual rights management, and compliance with data use.
- Onsite and virtually, triage market data requests in collaboration with Investment Technology Data and Performance Strategy and Execution team from INVO to assist in prioritization and identifying the best vendor / pricing / delivery mechanisms.
