CRC's Elk Hills Power Team is seeking to fill a Gas Plant Operator (Gas Processing) position in our Tupman, CA location.
Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of Plant Inlet, recovery, fractionation, refrigeration system, gas compression, dehydration, heat medium - steam exchange and gas fired heaters, amine treatment, cooling tower, product quality, NGL product shipping down DOT pipelines (candidate will be DOT tested and qualified), controlling access and permitting of workers / contractors entering plant, oversee all work inside the facility, firewater systems, CSO / CSC checklist, PSV, firewater, and extinguisher inspections, other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor.
- Conduct daily rounds of plant equipment to ensure that all equipment is running within operational parameters
- Work around high voltage electrical, high pressure steam, high pressure gas and hazardous materials
- Check for leaks, spills or other containment breaches, and correct these situations as necessary
- Promote, practice, and enforce plant safety procedures, and understand the correct use of personal and protective equipment
- Must be able to communicate any abnormal plant conditions to the Gas Controller and or control room operator
- Overtime required as needed for special projects, plant outages, vacation / sick leave coverage
