Leadership Development Trainer/MESD Representative - San Jose, CA

You'll present a high-quality training curriculum to enhance all aspects of CSEA culture and develop leaders. You'll have considerable exposure to leaders of CSEA at all levels.
CSEA has approximately 250,000 school employees who work in school districts and community colleges in California. Our members are para-educators, administrative staff, food service, bus drivers and employees in IT, grounds, maintenance and operations.
Examples of duties:
- Deliver high-impact modules, webinars or workshops at meetings and conferences
- Develop, coach and mentor leaders, members and staff
- Train and certify members and staff to deliver modules
- Identify training and development needs through root cause and gap analyses
- Research and write content
- Manage projects with defined objectives, deliverables and timelines
- Evaluate impact of training
- Prepare status reports and updates
- Act as change agent
- Align training activities with CSEA initiatives
- May be assigned to other tasks and/or special projects as needed
Requirements and experience:
- Three years experience as a trainer or facilitator
- A Bachelor's degree in a subject that still excites you
- ATD certification in Leadership Development programs is perfect
- Experience with instructional design, webinars and learning management systems and a flair for graphics and visuals are a plus
- Experience designing blended learning programs is highly valued
- Self-starter with initiative and sound judgment
- Super communication and interpersonal skills
- Be cool under pressure
- Demonstrated commitment to service
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Ability to travel overnight and work occasional weekends
This position is located in San Jose, CA and titled Member Education/Staff Development Representative within CSEA. We have 12 offices in California with approximately 300 dedicated employees. A complete list of offices and locations is on our website.
The salary range for the Member Education/Staff Development Representative is $79,243 - $109,264. Starting salaries are typically at the first step on our salary range, although consideration may be given for candidates with exceptional qualifications and experience.
