What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Service Representative (PSR) position at California Sleep Solutions?
California Sleep Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join our scheduling team. We offer our Patient Service Representative comprehensive training in an upbeat office environment. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year previous Call Center experience, as well as excellent communication skills – bilingual is a plus.
Please note this role is based in office.
Essential Duties
Our Patient Service Representative is often the first point of contact for incoming referrals. Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Screen and route patient calls to other departments efficiently, ensuring accurate registration, appointment, scheduling, as well as follow-up appointment scheduling in the database
- Processing incoming faxes and referrals
- Create and maintain patient and physician e-charts
- Contact patients to schedule and or contact their referring provider for missing information (Average of 40 to 50 calls daily)
- Update physicians' offices regarding patient care
- Assist physicians, patients, and staff with scheduling questions
- Schedule appointments
- Confirm patient appointments
- Answering, investigating, and or directing patient inquiries to the appropriate staff member
- Following up with patients to ensure their inquiry has been addressed
- Follow up on voicemails and emails, respond to both in a timely manner
- Other administrative tasks as assigned by the department manager
