Job Summary
The Lifeguard/s will primarily be patrolling at Kings Beach State Recreation Area. Lifeguard/s will also have the ability to be on boat patrol with a ranger around Lake Tahoe. The primary duties are to keep visitors safe, educate the public on rules, regulations and other general information, perform water rescues, provide medical care to those who are injured.
Requirements
- Pass a 1000 yard swim in the lake in 20 minutes
- Pass a run (200 yards) - swim (400 yard swim) -run (200 yard) test in 10 minutes
- Possess a drivers license by June 2025
- Pass the State Park lifeguard training June 18 - 25

Responsibilities
- Patrol California State Parks
- Perform aquatic rescues in and around the lake
- Provide medical care to those in needs

- Work with allied agencies (i.e. Fire Departments, Sheriffs, Coast Guard)
