Reporting location:
The reporting location for this position is located at the Maintenance Shop at Sugar Pine Point State Park, Tahoma CA. May be required to work at other locations throughout the district as assigned.
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor and the leadership of permanent maintenance staff, the Maintenance Aide duties include cleaning and stocking the restrooms, garbage collection, snow removal, light weed eating and assisting permanent staff on projects. The essential job functions of this position include maintenance services, visitor contact, and resource protection.
The incumbent's work schedule will be from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm five days per week. This is a uniformed position, and the successful candidates will be required to purchase and wear a State Parks uniform. This position may work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months. This position is designated as not telework eligible.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
Possession of a valid driver’s license of the appropriate class and a safe driving record as documented by the Department of Motor Vehicles within 60 days prior to appointment. (A safe driving record is one free from convictions in the past two years for repeated moving violations or a single serious violation, such as drunk driving or reckless driving.)
State housing is required.
