The reporting location for this position is the District Headquarters located in San Clemente, Ca. This position will work under the general direction of the District Maintenance Chief (Park Maintenance Chief III). Duties will include supervision of permanent and seasonal staff, employee development / training, auto shop operations, housing program and facility maintenance, equipment management, heavy equipment operations, project oversight, service and public works contract specifications development, purchasing, safety inspections, and participation in the development of the various maintenance budgets and planning for the Orange Coast District.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
Working Conditions
Typical work activities involve frequent and prolonged periods of standing and walking. Moderate exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Heavy physical work including lifting, pushing, and pulling.
