Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range : $6,300 - $8,000 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range : $4,747 - $8,589 per month

• This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

The Public Works Buyer (Buyer III) has full buying responsibility for a variety of diverse purchasing activities with the majority of assignments at the advanced buying level with a high degree of independence. The incumbent provides primary purchasing services for a major campus-wide procurement function, including public works and professional services. Such services may include, but are not limited to purchasing supplies, materials and equipment, primarily through the use of competitive bid process and / or preparing high complex, customized contracts, service agreements, and leases, based on unique or custom-made items requiring creative development of original specification.

This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
