SUMMARY
The Program Director at California Support Services is responsible for researching, planning, and implementing organization's programs. Provides administrative oversight and structure to all agency departments. They initiate goals based on the strategic objectives of the organization and allocate resources necessary to achieve those plans from start to finish, including defining internal processes, provide quality care, maintain program/contract compliance, adhere to legal and ethical requirements, and meet performance expectations for productivity and timely delivery of services. CalAIM Director will manage all aspects of the CalAIM initiative: coordination, implementation, and the ongoing operation of California Support Services CalAIM Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and coordinate the implementation and ongoing operations of the CalAIM programs, including ECM and Community Supports programs.
- Administer and monitor contracts with Managed Care Providers (MCPs).
- Attend or designating administrative staff to attend MCP CalAIM Trainings.
- Oversee authorization and billing, including training and supervising authorization and billing staff.
- Work with IT Contractors for the MCP data security requirements.
- Attend all CalAIM-related meetings, including the MCP, local coalitions, etc.
- Receive and respond to all referrals from the MCPs.
- Work with CEO (if different from Director) on CalAIM-related expansion strategies, including new service locations and areas.
- Initiating and setting goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
- Address the needs of diverse populations whose models of engagement or cultural standards differ from conventional practices or who speak another language.
- Planning the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones, and processes.
- Developing or approving budgets and operations.
- Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements.
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations.
- Responsible for researching, planning, and implementing programs that keep their organization running.
- Developing and maintaining an effective and reasonable internal operations amongst staff and various departments.
- Lead large group discussions to answer questions or remedy complaints/concerns.
- Create an environment of open communication within the company by collaborating with other departments on decision-making responsibilities and initiating new goal-setting initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA diploma in management, social services, psychology, or a related discipline,
- Proven experience as program director or other managerial position,
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
- Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics.
- Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting.
- Working knowledge of MS office and program management software. (e.g. Basecamp, MS Project, etc.)
- A business acumen with a strategic ability.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A masters-level degree such as a MBA, MPA, MPP or MPH.
- 3-5 years experience as a CalAIM director or similar supervisory level.
