What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician's Assistant / Nurse Practitioner position at California Vein & Laser Center?
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The postion is for 2 days (or more) a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical fields, however, experience in Vascular Disease would be ideal. We are looking for someone who knows how to perform or is willing to be trained by our Doctor to treat Vascular Disease. Treatments include Vascular surgery on Varicose Veins (by EVLT or RFA), treatment of blue and spider veins with sclerotherapy, and eventually performing consultations to new patients. The EVLT and RFA procedures are relatively simple out-patient office procedures and our Doctor can train you in them if you have no prior experience.
We are flexible on the days you can work, right now it would be Monday and Tuesday, however we can rearrange our schedule if needed.
We also perform laser treatments such as tattoo and hair removal, facial spider vein removal and sun spot removal as well as perform Botox treatments all done by our RN. We are always open to adding new cosmetic procedures to the practice.
Our current Doctor is Board Certified in Family Practice as well as ABVLM with 27 years of experience treating vascular disease. He is looking to lighten his workload with this hiring.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as vascular disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate medical records using appropriate medical terminology to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Perform vein treatments such as Endovenous Laser Treatment and Sclerotherapy.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing
