Position Description: Caliola requires a Program Manager who can provide influential leadership across multiple teams and programs to ensure customer expectations and contractual requirements are met. They will advise leadership on all relevant aspects of program and project level scope, schedules, and resources. They will maintain overall ownership of program, project, and contractual level financial performance. The Program Manager will oversee teams who are responsible for day-to-day operations, sustainment, interoperability, and integration of current and future MILSATCOM, protected MILSATCOM, and cryptographic systems and capabilities. Critical to this role is maintaining strong relationships with Government customers, industry partners, and mission owners.Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead daily contract execution of multiple programs and projects to ensure program costs, schedules, and technical performance goals are met while meeting customer expectations and contractual requirements.
- Serve as primary customer relationship manager including but not limited to:
- Managing overall company relationships for defined scope(s) of work to ensure responsiveness to customer needs.
- Lead customer meetings and reviews, tracking resulting action items to closure.
- Develop materials for internal and external programmatic briefings and technical reviews.
- Coordinate with customer on execution of the contract throughout its lifecycle.
- Support expert-level MILSATCOM and Protected MILSATOM systems engineering via:
- Providing technical consultation and sustainment advisory services relative to new capabilities, terminals designs, allied architectures, and command and control features.
- Assist with planning and conducting cryptographic architecture feasibility analyses.
- Conducting analysis and making recommendations to support senior-level decisions concerning the development, integration, and transition to new and/or modified systems.
- Contribute to the development and execution of a growth strategy for the portfolio through activities such as:
- Actively identifying additional and expanded tasking with existing customers and defining new technical requirements for draft statements of work.
- Providing significant elements to a re-compete capture strategy.
- Developing new customer contacts and conceptualizing solutions to customer problems that lead to new business for the company.
- Identifying potential buying agents for growth beyond current customer.
- Manage the internal demands of program and projects, to include:
- Provide clear direction to staff and maintain accountability for the team's performance and travel.
- Provide concise reports to the leadership team on status, potential issues, risks, gaps, and recommended courses of action.
- Provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements, to include program technical staffing needs.
- Comprehend complex program and staffing interdependencies and communicate clear and consistent priorities
- Lead change in a growing organization, seek out and document best practices and incorporate lessons learned into future project/programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to possess/maintain DoD TS/SCI.
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 10 years Program/Project management experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with or within the DoD as Program/Project Manager.
- Experience collaborating with senior leaders, officers, directorates, and actions officers.
- Demonstrated expertise in Military and Space operations, Protected MILSATCOM, MILSATCOM, and/or COMSEC Cryptographic systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) to our DoD customers and other stakeholders.
- Solid leadership and management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution.
- Experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity, and variance analysis.
- Ability to routinely travel to our DoD customers and other stakeholder facilities, both CONUS and OCONUS.
- Knowledge of military SATCOM operations, satellites, payloads, terminals, MPSS, cryptographic, baseband equipment, and MILSATCOM and Protected MILSATCOM system design architectures, functional interfaces, and interoperability requirements.
- Experience with internal sales, business development and proposals as a Program/Project Manager.
- In depth knowledge of program & project management processes, tools and procedures including ability to quickly learn and adapt to company's ERP system (Unanet) in reporting, analyzing, and managing project spend vs. budgets, and schedule performance.
- Knowledgeable in FAR/DFAR/ITAR requirements.
- Program Management Professional (PMP®) or comparable certification.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time including extended periods of sitting during air travel.
- Ability to transition between sitting and standing as required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, including overnight trips and air travel.
- Ability to travel independently and efficiently including the ability to navigate both domestic and international airports and various transportation systems.
- Ability to adapt to varying time zones and travel schedules.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary travel documents such as passport and visas.
