What are the responsibilities and job description for the Knitting Machine Operator position at Calko Group?
Machine Operator
The successful candidates for the Machine Operator positions will be able to review work orders and instructions given by the production supervisor. He/she will be able to set up machinery with proper threads/yarn and make necessary adjustments. He/she will thread yarn on creels and machines, through guides, tensioners, knit/ braiding points and rollers according to specifications. He/she will be a team player willing to go beyond duties assigned and take initiative to help out where needed. Under the supervision of the Production Manager, this position will be responsible for performing quality control functions by inspecting and identifying as well as reporting variances on yarn quality and overall product. He/she will maintain proper paperwork to ensure inventory and production schedule is up to date. He/she will be responsible for following specific machine maintenance schedules as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to work a regular schedule of 40 hours per week
- Operate with a high degree of integrity and accountability
- Adhere to company policies at all times
- Contribute to the cleanliness of the manufacturing area
- Ability to learn industrial machinery (ex. circular knitters)
- Attention to detail a must

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience in industrial machinery settings preferred but not mandatory
- Open honesty and trustworthy
- Willingness to learn and grow
