Billing Analyst

Qualifications:

• Minimum of at least 1 year Medical billing experience (or minimum of 2 years of CCERRTS experience for internal hire). Prior ambulance or transportation Billing is preferred.
• Bachelor degree or minor in Accounting is a plus
• Proficient excel skill is required.
• Professional and reliable attitude; strong sense of initiative and motivation

Responsibilities

• Managing of high volume invoices and addressing discrepancies daily.
• Creating, reviewing, and editing closing charged for billing batches within the ERHS. The batches will be submitted to contracted insurance carriers for payment.
• Accurate an reliable handling of excel data
• Ensure all data points are reconciled timely for timely billing
• Identifies over payments and creates refund request
• Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and data
• Adherence to HIPAA in regards to dealing with PHI and other sensitive data
• Ability to determine the financial eligibility for members for the agency. This includes but not limited to information provided from within the agency and information found at the State level.
• Review unbilled claims with potential to be fixed, which will include follow up with other departments within the agency to determine final billing status.
• Coordination and communication skills: The ability to work with multiple internal departments and act as a liaison between the Revenue Cycle and other departments to optimize billing and billing opportunities.
• Attention to detail and timeliness: Must demonstrate professionalism and efficiency in all aspects of claim submission, rebilling, and resolution processes.
