Do you have a heart for serving those who have experienced trauma and human trafficking? If so, Call to Freedom in Sioux Falls, SD is looking for a Statewide Rural Case Manager to join our team!

Call to Freedom is committed to identifying and responding to the needs of individuals at-risk of human trafficking and/or exploitation and those working to transition out of the life of human trafficking. The Statewide Rural Case Manager's purpose is to coordinate community responses to cases of human trafficking throughout South Dakota. Key tasks include assisting in establishing or connecting with community response teams and coordinating responses within those teams for victims of human trafficking, service delivery, and assisting with training members of response teams in identifying and assessing victims of human trafficking.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, and experience in case management with victims of violence, trafficking, trauma, and/or substance abuse essential.
  • Training in trauma-informed care is beneficial.
  • Must be willing to travel 3-4 days per week.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexible, self-directed, and responsive.
  • Full-time 40 hours /week must be able to adapt to flexible scheduling; including evenings and weekend hours as needed.


CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:

  • The ability to obtain and retain a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES:

  • Be the CTF liaison for identification and assessment within community response rural teams throughout South Dakota and the United States.
  • Prepare and implement assessments and intake tools for CTF and community partners to utilize.
  • Support additional communities in service delivery and case management to clients.
  • Work with Survivor Service & Program Coordinator in training rural community on responses and service delivery for human trafficking clients.
  • Work with community partners to build referral processes and collaborations.
  • Work with referral sources who provide services to newly identified victims and be the main point of contact between CTF and the referral source/rural response teams.
  • Work with Director of Marissa’s House & Outreach Services and immediate supervisor to receive new referrals.
  • Assist organizations serving rural clients with establishing referral sources to community providers (medical, counseling, employment, etc.)
  • Work alongside the care team at CTF (OT, Spirituality & Mentor Coordinator, Housing Navigator, etc.) to provide direct services to those living in rural communities.
  • Work with established rural and local community partners who provide response services to newly identified victims including youth and adult victims and be the main point of contact to provide ongoing training and technical assistance.
  • Maintain documentation and records appropriately and timely.
  • Responsible for daily entry of partnership data and client data as needed into CTF database for grant reporting.
  • Travel as needed for CTF to meet with community response teams, partner organizations, and new connections using agency provided vehicles. This can include overnight trips.
  • Attend staff meetings and other outreach events as assigned in person or via the web.
  • Adhere to confidentiality policies regarding clients, HIPAA, and privacy.
  • Conduct ongoing trainings to service partners and attend trainings (in person or webinar) regarding human trafficking (labor and sex) or trauma-informed practices on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide administrative and case management support to rural case managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
