Role and Responsibilities
This position supports the dredge with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation (EIA) system.
This position will be under the direct supervision of the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation Manager.
- Electrical system includes installation, troubleshooting, the repair of AC / DC and synchronous motors, MCC’s switchgears, controls, fault protection relays, breakers, and transformers.
- Instrumentation system includes installation, troubleshooting, and repair of Instrumentation that includes Pressure Transmitters, flow meters, level transducers, RTD / Thermocouple temperature sensors, light switches, proximity switches, encoders, etc.
- Automation systems include the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of PLC and computer systems, network switches, and any other related components.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, life vest, respirators, ear plugs, steel toed shoes, personal flotation devices (PFD’s), or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
