The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office invites applications for a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney (APA) to join our dedicated team. Priority consideration will be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to or interest in the prosecution of domestic violence cases.
This is an excellent opportunity to serve the public by representing the State of Missouri in criminal prosecutions. Our dynamic and collegial environment promotes the pursuit of justice and the protection of the rights of crime victims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate case referrals from law enforcement.
- Draft and file criminal charges.
- Prosecute felony and misdemeanor cases through trial or plea.
- Appear frequently in court, handling a variety of proceedings, including bench and jury trials.
Qualifications:
- Previous prosecution experience is preferred but not required.
- Admission to the Missouri Bar.
