What are the responsibilities and job description for the Callaway Birds of Prey Raptor Specialist position at Callaway Gardens and Resorts?
The Raptor Handler is responsible for participating in environmental education programs using free flighted raptors for a variety of audiences ( on and off site), daily feeding, cleaning, and maintenance of Callaway's permanent resident raptor collection, as well as assisting with other departmental duties as needed. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. Experience working with flighted raptors in an educational setting preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Undergraduate degree in Biology, Ornithology, Animal Behavior or related field (may substitute experience). Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
