Callaway Resort and Gardens is seeking a dedicated Houseman to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests and will be able to perform light and heavy cleaning duties with attention to detail and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of cleaning duties, including furniture polishing, window cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, floor cleaning/polishing, and trash removal, in accordance with established protocols and safety procedures
- Clean fireplaces and remove cobwebs to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment, taking direction and communicating effectively to ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the resort
- Adhere to established schedules and work flexibly to accommodate the needs of the resort and its guests
- Identify and report maintenance issues as required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a cleaning or hospitality role preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal procedures
- Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional guest service
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license preferred
