Roles And Responsibilities
- Product Development
- Responsible for leading technical and logistical aspects of product development pertaining to new constructions, materials, and processes. Manage timelines, milestones, and schedules.
- Function as the technical lead and liaison between R&D and Manufacturing across the global supply base.
- Execute and track new product pilots through prototyping, first articles, qualification, and initial production.
- Perform data analysis, technical presentations, and monitor critical-to-quality metrics throughout development and initial production.
- Establish and maintain specifications for golf ball components and finished goods
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product commercialization, including but not limited to tooling, materials, part numbers, specifications, quality plans, standards, and process documentation.
- Train and educate others on critical-to-quality product attributes

- Lead or participate in projects which support strategic business initiatives
- Support problem-solving and continuous improvement activities at all global manufacturing locations.
- Ideate and lead studies and experiments which expand our fundamental understanding of golf ball materials and constructions
- Act as a mentor to colleagues and peers, transferring knowledge and understanding to improve products and processes.
- Work with the manufacturing base to drive corrective actions based on feedback from internal or external customers.
- Execute and report on data analysis, specification alignment, process capability, and other technical projects as needed.
- Foster and maintain professional, respectful communication and relationships across the organization
- Actively communicate with overseas suppliers and support offshore manufacturing engineering improvements, projects, and initiatives. Overseas travel and after-hours meetings may be required.
- Solid knowledge and experience utilizing engineering fundamentals, statics, data analysis, and testing methods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to collaborate with suppliers in an independent mode to solve technical problems.
- Ability to lead technical meetings and report project status.
- Experience with rubber, plastics, coatings and/or the processing thereof is preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge and demonstrated application of quality methods and tools. This includes but is not limited to 6 Sigma, FMEA, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Controls, Measure System Analysis.
- Able to work extended hours in critical situations.
- Ability to travel overseas as needed. Valid passport required.
- BS in Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
- Work may be performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
- Work may also be performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to fifty pounds, regularly lift and/or carry up to twenty pounds and perform moderately demanding physical tasks.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
