Dietary Manager

Job Summary
The Dietary Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the dietary department within a healthcare or institutional setting. This position is responsible for ensuring that all nutritional needs of residents or patients are met through effective meal planning, preparation, and service. The Dietary Manager will lead a team of dietary staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote health and well-being.

Duties

• Supervise daily operations of the dietary department to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Develop and manage budgets for food services while maintaining cost-effective practices.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess the nutritional needs of residents or patients.
• Provide health coaching to individuals, guiding them on dietary choices that align with their health goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to create tailored care plans based on individual dietary requirements.
• Ensure the proper preparation and presentation of meals that meet dietary guidelines and preferences.
• Train and mentor dietary staff in best practices for food safety, sanitation, and nutrition.
• Maintain accurate records related to food service operations, including inventory management and meal counts.

Experience

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a dietary department or food service setting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of dietetics, including physiology knowledge related to nutrition and health.
• Demonstrated ability in budgeting and financial management within a food service context.
• Experience in developing care plans that address specific dietary needs is preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
• Familiarity with health coaching principles and practices is advantageous.
• Previous experience in diagnostic evaluation related to nutrition is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
