Position Overview: The Part-Time Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility during weekends. This role involves managing medical needs, administering treatments, and ensuring the well-being of residents in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented professional with strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. This candidate will also follow and keep up to date with OSDH LTC Regulations and CMS guidance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Assess and monitor residents' health conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Coordinate and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Provide wound care, catheter care, and other specialized nursing procedures as required.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each resident.
- Document all care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals regarding care and treatment plans.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
- Document and report incidents and changes in resident conditions according to facility protocols.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with other nursing staff, physicians, and therapists to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Participate in care team meetings and contribute to the development and review of care plans.
- Act as a leader with a teamwork approach in the facility
- Patient Education:
- Educate residents and their families about health management, medications, and care procedures.
- Provide guidance on health maintenance and disease prevention as appropriate.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to all facility policies, state regulations, and federal guidelines for nursing care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
