What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Supervisor position at Callaway Resort & Gardens?
The Conference Set-up Supervisor position is responsible for assisting the Director or Manager of Conference Setup to ensure that all meetings and banquet functions are set up correctly and timely based on the information in the detail sheets and Banquet Event Orders. They are also to note any changes to these orders whether written or verbal. Monitor staff to ensure that they are going by the departmental standards as outlined in the manual. At least 3 years of experience in Conference Set-up.
Experience in hotel or related field helpful. Must be able to read and fully understand a BEO. Long hours sometimes required. The team member is frequently required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The team member must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must have the ability to stand for long periods at a time and work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
