Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB) Center is Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC).
Period of performance : 15 Sept 2024 To 14 SEP 2025 (with additional year options to extend)
Job Description :
- The candidate will provide a front desk clerk that will meet the security requirements that will provide access to Schriever, AFB and the base computer systems.
- The candidate will provide a front desk clerk with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access), and be able to become proficient within (2) two months on learning A&FRC resource software, Air Force Family Integrated Results and Statistics Tracking (AFFIRST) system.
- The front desk clerk will be provided with a computer to accomplish this task.
- The front desk clerk will be provided online training (Information Assurance) to gain access to government computers.
- The front desk clerk will be provided an online training to the A&FRC resource software, AAFIRST.
- The front desk clerk will be trained on all A&FRC programs to include Transition and Employment, Survivors Benefit Plan & Casualty, Relocation, Exceptional Family Member Program, Readiness, Personal Financial Readiness & Air Force Aid, Personal Work life, and all subcategories for each said programs.
- Provide answers to basic questions regarding A&FRC programs & resources, class information & registration.
- Direct customers accordingly to the appropriate A&FRC program managers.
- The front desk clerk will answer the A&FRC telephone in a professional / timely manner.

- Transfer calls from customers accordingly to the appropriate A&FRC program managers.
- Ensure office coverage while A&FRC staff attends official functions. The Contracting Office Representative (COR) will notify the front desk clerk for services required during an installation down day.
- Provide Discovery Center orientations for walk-in customers and participants of A&FRC workshops. Orientations will include assisting customers and class participants who are not familiar with the Discovery Center and ensuring customers and participants understand the computer set up, resources policies and procedures. Promote user awareness of the Discovery Center, the A&FRC and available resources through written materials and briefings / tours.
- Assist customers with computer access / issues and printers such as keeping printers loaded with paper, clearing paper jams, and changing toner cartridges.
- Conduct random checks of client computer usage, ensure computers are being used appropriately and not for unauthorized functions or Internet sites (On the job training will be provided to train on these requirements). Report improper computer use and / or any signs of viruses or server / network problems to the COR.
- Ensure front desk and reception area is neat and organized. Update resource racks and files as new materials become available and catalog and display new books and videos as they arrive.
- Update brochure racks and bulletin boards with A&FRC information.
- The front desk clerk shall be responsible for checking in / out resource materials through AFFIRST or other designated method. Follow up on materials not returned within the time frame established by A&FRC management.
- Perform physical inventory of all Discovery Center materials quarterly, via AFFIRST, no later than the last working day of the last month of the quarter. Report any loss or damage to the COR.
- Ensure all customers utilize sign in log to document usage of Resource Center, other services and inputs data in AFFIRST.
- Prepare and duplicate A&FRC program materials and other documents and assist in assembling program manuals to ensure adequate supply for each class.
- If needed, assist in preparation of classroom for A&FRC classes weekly.
- Ensure copier room is neat, orderly and supplies are readily available at least once a week.
- Input and track statistical data using the AFFIRST data tracking system daily.
- Review A&FRC web page and office calendar during the first week for each month for information accuracy.
- Notify the marketing office of any inaccuracies on the A&FRC web page.
- Update the A&FRC monthly calendar and fix any inaccuracy.
- Provide assistance to customers faxing approved documents.
- Pick up A&FRC mail when required and distribute to individual A&FRC staff when delivered.
- Organize and maintain office supplies. Maintain the printer inventory list and printer toner inventory for all printers. Alert the Government Purchasing Credit (GPC) cardholder when supplies are low and should be ordered.
