Job description
Calm Source is seeking a qualified Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP, LMHP-R, LPC, Resident In counseling, LCSW, or resident in social work) to complete intakes and assessments for all Calm Source services provided for all locations. Can be based in Danville or Salem.
Calm Source is the premier provider of community-based behavioral health services and addiction recovery treatment services (ARTS) in southwest Virginia. Requirements:
- Master’s degree or better
- (LMHP, LMHP-R, LPC, Resident In counseling, LCSW, or resident in social work)
Job Summary:
- Clinical Assessors primarily ensure that Comprehensive Needs Assessments and requests for service authorizations are completed appropriately (timely, accurately, thoroughly). This position is expected to improve access and be the point of contact primarily responsible for initiating services.
- The assessments conducted occur in an office setting, or by telephone (for ARTS programs) for all services.
- Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessors primarily ensure that Comprehensive Needs Assessments and requests for service authorizations are completed appropriately (timely, accurately, thoroughly)
- This position is expected to improve access and be the point of contact primarily responsible for initiating services.
- The assessments conducted occur mostly in client’s homes, though they could take place in schools or other community locations.
- The client population served would be children, adolescents, or adults with behavioral health and substance abuse challenges.
- Conduct Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNA) and complete it in the EHR.
- Populate the client’s profile in the EHR (including diagnoses, medications, allergies, etc.)
- Recommend service(s) based on the CNA.
- Meet face to face or via telephone (for ARTS assessments) with the identified client and guardian (if the client is a minor) to gather relevant clinical information.
- Complete the intake process with all clients.
- Connect with associated professionals who are/have been involved with the assessed client.
- Conduct the service authorization process.
- Complete the Service Authorization Form in the EHR
- Submit the form to the appropriate to MCO liaison for submission to MCO.
- Interact with the MCO Care Coordinator (if necessarily) regarding addition information requests or service justification.
- Responds timely to all communication (emails, voicemails)
- Participate in mandated team meetings and case staffing with Supervisor Teams
- Maintains office hours to be available to support clinical teams with completing assessments and/or authorizations (for assessments not completed by the Clinical Assessor).
- Able to be responsive and available to meet dynamic needs of clients and clinical supervisor staff.
