We invite a skilled engineer to join our dynamic engineering team, where you'll play a vital role in transforming the electric machine industry with our innovative high-speed high power permanent magnet machines, power electronics, and magnetic bearing controllers.
Your Role : As a Lead Power Electronics Engineer, you will oversee all aspects of power converter design, testing, debugging, and project execution. Your creativity and expertise will be instrumental in developing advanced power converter products tailored for industrial, aerospace, and military applications while guiding the product development process from concept through to high-volume production.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess customer / project requirements to select suitable topologies for DC / AC and DC / DC applications.
- Engage in all phases of product design, from planning through design and testing.
- Innovate and refine advanced power electronics (up to hundreds of kW) including converters and inverters, utilizing medium to high power switching components along with necessary protection and gating circuits.
- Choose active semiconductor switching devices and passive components such as capacitors and transformers.
- Lead thorough verification testing on new designs and products.
- Analyze switching and transient behaviors for devices to ensure optimal operation and implementation.
- Conduct comprehensive design analysis involving modeling, simulation, and control loops.
- Optimize designs with a focus on efficiency, density, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform hands-on lab work including the assembly and debugging of prototypes.
- Carry out electrical characterization, validation, and product qualification.
- Facilitate the introduction of the product into production and provide ongoing technical support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product success.
