Adventure Therapy Manager
Pay: $49,000 per year
Location: Lake Ozark, MO
Are you passionate about using adventure-based experiences to inspire growth and transformation in young people? Join our team at Calo, as an Adventure Therapy Manager, where we believe in fostering safe, trusting relationships and creating transformative growth experiences for our students through Adventure Therapy. As the Adventure Therapy Manager, you will lead the development and execution of innovative therapeutic adventure programs designed to support students’ physical, emotional, social, and neurobiological development.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative adventure therapy programs that support students’ physical, emotional, social, and neurobiological development.
- Lead weekly fitness routines and Adventure Excursions.
- Facilitate weekly Ropes Course activities, team-building exercises, and other adventure-based experiences.
- Plan and oversee camping trips or “Engineered Experiences” that provide growth opportunities for students.
- Incorporate meaningful service projects into the program throughout the year.
- Collaborate with the Treatment Team to identify student goals, plan interventions, and assess progress.
- Ensure all activities are executed safely and adhere to best practices while maintaining program excellence.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy or related field. Ability to gain certification in CTRS.
- Hold valid driver’s license.
- Experience in adventure therapy, experiential learning, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and program development skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to fostering student growth through physical challenges and team-building activities.
