Overview : Director of Nursing
Pay : $80,000 - $90,000 per year
Location : Lake Ozark, Missouri
Shift : 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday
As our Director of Nursing (DON) you will help to lead a team of healthcare professionals who provide superior care for our students.
Every day you will oversee medication management and triage illness and injuries through independent clinical decisions.
To thrive in this role, you must have the strong ability to build and maintain partnerships with families, healthcare providers, and community organizations to support holistic and individualized care for residents.
Responsibilities :
Key Responsibilities :
Decision-Making Authority : Lead the health services department with the autonomy to make key decisions that impact patient care and operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Staff Oversight : Manage and support a team of six healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and encouraging professional growth.
Policy and Procedure Compliance : Regularly review and update health services policies and procedures to ensure they meet or exceed Joint Commission standards and state regulatory requirements.
Medication Management : Oversee the entire medication process, including prescribing, dispensing, and administration, to ensure safe and effective practices in line with behavioral health best practices.
Regulatory Compliance : Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and ensure that all aspects of the health services department remain compliant with both state and federal laws.
Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery, patient safety, and operational efficiency, and implement strategies to address these areas.
Collaboration : Work closely with other departments and external partners to ensure integrated care and a unified approach to behavioral health treatment.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Masters degree preferred.
Current and active RN license (if applicable).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare management role, with a focus on behavioral health preferred.
Proven ability to make independent, high-stakes decisions in a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of Joint Commission standards and state healthcare regulations.
Experience in managing a small team, with demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
Deep knowledge of medication management processes in a behavioral health context.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
