Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Scrub Tech at our Louisville, KY location. The Scrub Tech will be responsible for preparing the operating room, sterile-processing duties, ensuring surgical equipment is sterile and ready, assisting the surgical team during procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment. Daily tasks include sterile-processing of instruments, stocking, inventory management, setting up surgical instruments, and passing instruments to surgeons during procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited institution OR national certification from the NBSTSA or NCCT.
- Experience in operating room procedures and aseptic techniques
- Knowledge of surgical instruments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Positive attitude and dedication to patient safety and care
Preferred:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification
- Experience in sterile-processing of surgical instruments
- Knowledge of cosmetic surgical procedures
