CalOptima Health is seeking a highly motivated an experienced Designer (Video Production and Website Content) to join our team. The Designer (Video Production and Website Content) will use creative and digital media skills to plan and develop videos, animations, images and other content for various mediums including, but not limited to, social media, websites, email, television, and advertising. The incumbent will work within the Communications team and with stakeholders across the organization to help ensure content on the CalOptima Health website is current and to make website content updates using a content management system.

- Participates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.
- Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
- Conceptualizes, plans, films, creates and edits live-action videos, motion graphics and animated videos under tight deadlines. Works with the Communications team to write scripts for live-action and animated videos.
- Develops and maintains graphics and video design elements to ensure visual styles align with the CalOptima Health brand.
- Provides support and creative input to external vendors developing television commercials and other video content.
- Films and photographs live meetings and events.
- 35% - Website Content
- Makes regular content changes on the website and social media using content management software.
- Monitors the website to ensure an accurate and consistent presence on the Internet.
- Coordinates with departments to ensure content meets CalOptima Health and regulatory requirements.
- Works across departments to design, develop, and implement new website and social media features and initiatives.
- Ensures web pages, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other electronic documents on the website are accessible to people with disabilities and meet Section 508 regulatory requirements.
- Assists with developing, proofreading and copyediting content.
- 5% - Completes other projects and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, video production, website design or related field PLUS 3 years of professional video production and website design experience required, with a portfolio of work products that demonstrate examples of live-action video, animated video and motion graphics; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.
