HPP Food Services is a leading Food and Beverage Processing Facility located in Southern CA. The company has an amazing opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager in the Wilmington area whose primary responsibility will be to ensure that the company’s products meet quality standards and regulations. They’re responsible for creating and enforcing the quality standards, procedures and policies for the company. They work with the QA team on testing and quality standards, but they also work with employees in general to ensure they understand the quality standards that are required throughout the process. Quality Assurance Managers stay on top of the latest laws and regulations that impact products. They handle data related to quality to analyze the company’s performance as well as quality reports and documentation that are required as part of the QA procedures.
Essential Functions

1. Develops, implements and enforces food safety standards, policies, and programs including HACCP, SQF and GFSI, regulatory audits, internal audits, food safety training programs, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), product inspections, and standardized work instructions.
2. Addressing nonconformities from previous internal and external audits.
3. Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external.
4. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
5. Conducting a management review of the quality system.
6. Following-up on and closing pending preventive and corrective action requests.
7. Ensuring that organizational systems and training is in place.
8. Ensuring that documentation and design controls are appropriate for organization.
9. Administering document control and configuration management system.
10. Overseeing established calibration and testing program.
11. Assisting the management team and provide QA support as necessary.
12. Maintaining design history file.

Provision of Coverage
In the event of absence of the QA Manager, the Plant Manager will be responsible for maintaining SQF requirements.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance, management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and shop environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, the position requires overnight on-call duty and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
2. HACCP certification
3. Some experience as SQF Practitioner or GFSI standard implementation.
