Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coding Manager to lead our medical coding operations. This role involves overseeing a team of coding professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high levels of accuracy and productivity. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, process management, and communication skills to drive performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day coding operations, planning deliverables based on team availability and client needs
- Drive productivity and quality benchmarks across all client accounts
- Monitor SLAs and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality results
- Identify operational issues proactively and develop strategies for resolution
- Handle client escalations, participate in client calls and status meetings, and ensure timely internal communication
- Lead process improvements to enhance team performance and efficiency
- Manage team attendance, attrition, and resource utilization to ensure seamless process execution
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ISO standards, and internal company policies
Mandatory Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience managing medical coding teams, including client coordination and performance delivery
- Strong understanding of capacity planning, forecasting, and resource utilization
- Ability to prepare and deliver client/internal reports as per agreed timelines
- Skilled in defining and reviewing KPIs, mentoring team leads, and mapping career growth for team members
- Experience in initiating and driving process improvements
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to foster a collaborative and healthy work environment
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare compliance standards
