Job Description And Duties
To be honest, we get dirty working in the field, but it is part of the job. This is a different kind of job that combines field research, and creating practical survey methodologies, which can be physically demanding at times, with office-based research, statistical and data analysis, report writing, presentations, legislation and regulation analysis, and studies related to consumer recycling behavior, recycling industry trends, and recycled material composition and variability, that challenge the intellect. It’s a unique position for a unique individual.
Under supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, in the Rate Determination Section, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst will work as a team member and assist with conducting field surveys and data collection for various calculations and reports in support of setting the California Refund Value (CRV) redemption rates. These rates determine how much money consumers and various collection programs receive for redeemed CRV beverage containers.
