Summary
We are seeking to augment our safety staff by adding a part-time Construction Safety Manager to join our team at CALTEC. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and compliance of our construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a safe work environment while supporting our commitment to excellence in project execution.
Responsibilities
- Review our current policies and/or develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify hazards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices and protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety compliance throughout all phases of construction.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain records of safety training, incidents, and compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to occupational health and safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction safety management or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles related to construction sites.
- Excellent communication skills for effective training and collaboration with teams.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports on safety performance.
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $43.90 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
