Positions open on 1st and Night Shifts. Pay ranges from $20 - $30 / hour depending on direct experience and shift.

About the Grinder Operator role

A Grinder Operator operates grinding machines to assemble, finish, or polish metal or plastic parts. They inspect finished products to ensure that they meet specifications and adjust machinery as needed. They must also maintain machine parts and lubricate and clean machines.

Role Purpose

The purpose of a Grinder Operator is to operate a grinding machine to grind, shape, and finish parts to specified dimensions, using knowledge of grinding techniques. The Operator must also observe grinding operations to ensure that surfaces and dimensions of parts meet specifications, as well as check parts with gauges, templates, or micrometers to ensure conformance with specifications. In addition, the Operator must select and attach grinding wheels to machines, and adjust machine controls to regulate speed and feed rate. Other duties may include setting up, adjusting, and operating grinding machines, checking and maintaining grinding equipment, and keeping accurate records of production output.

The Operator must be able to set up, adjust, and operate all of the essential components of the grinding machine to produce parts that meet precise specifications. The Operator must also be able to identify and address any potential issues with the grinding process. The Operator must adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
