Hiring Range:
The hiring range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00 p/hour. This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate, along with the requirements of the position.

What you'll be doing:
- Set up systems (hardware and software) in the Caltrol Irvine. other Caltrol offices or on customer sites.
- Assist with maintaining Automation Services Group development system based on Hyper-V Technology
- Create Virtual Machines for different projects using Hyper-V or VMWare solutions.
- Troubleshoot Virtual Machines and Network issues that may arise.
- Develop and review technical documents such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), functional design specifications (FDS), hardware submittals, Turn Over Packages (TOPs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and others.
- Participate in system (hardware / software testing) efforts, either in office or occasionally at customer sites.
- Participate in assembly of hardware systems (server racks, panels, etc.).
- Provide support to other internal teams in support of project efforts, including but not limited to assisting with shipping receiving efforts, creation of packing lists / Bill of Ladings (BOLs), and various miscellaneous office tasks.
- Support IT-related tasks, including network troubleshooting, software updates, and system monitoring.
- Provide technical support to end-users for software and hardware issues.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers and IT teams on automation projects.
- Perform data analysis on system performance and generate reports.

- Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, GE etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls, etc.) a plus.
- Some experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages is plus.
- Understanding of SQL databases and data analytics is a plus.
Preferred:
- Prior work, internship, and/ or research experience in a professional setting.
- Strong experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (MS Word and Excel).
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware/ software functionality.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This job is performed in a typical office setting; the employee sits in an open cubicle, so noise levels rise to that of other employees speaking with each other. Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
Travel:
10% travel may be required outside of everyday travel to the office.
