Hiring Range:
The hiring range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 p/hour. This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate along with the requirements of the position.
What you'll be doing:
- Determine shipping methods for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures.
- Prepare documents, such as pick slips and shipping orders to route materials.
- Pack, seal, label and affix appropriate shipping labels to prepare packages for shipping. Record shipment data for damages and discrepancies for accounting purposes.
- Package parts and crate valves using wood blocks, foam, and steel banding.
- Inventory management, including daily and weekly cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Assist technicians in Sandblasting, Painting, and Teardown of valves as time permits.
- Assist with technical repairs of a variety of valves and provide troubleshooting assistance.
- Work with Customers to schedule and coordinate Valve deliveries and drop offs.
- Drive Caltrol trucks and stake bed to customer sites to perform deliveries and pickups.
- Drive forklift and utilize pallet jacks to move inventory, load, and unload pallets.
What we're looking for:
- 3 year shipping and receiving experience.
- Previous experience with Shipping software.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain an excellent driving record required.
- Basic mechanical experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Have a sense of urgency to meet employee and customer deadlines.
- Ability to send emails and process work orders using computer software.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member.
- Willingness to work overtime as situation requires.
- Ability to drive a forklift (willing to train).

Physical Demands:
Potential exposure to chemicals and work in close proximity to moving mechanical and mobile equipment. Must be able to wear maximum level of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction which may include but is not limited to hardhat; safety glasses; fire resistant clothing; safety-toed footwear; hearing protection; respiratory protection, etc. Must be able to walk and/or stand for up to 8 hours per day. Frequent climbing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work outside in varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
Travel:
Local pick-up and delivery to customer sites using company vehicles.
Work Hours:
Shift is 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday. Must be willing to work after hours with little to no notice. Must be willing to work weekends as required to meet customer needs.
