PURPOSE
The purpose of the Demand Planning Coordinator position is to handle the functions responsible for ensuring that orders are fulfilled timely, accurately, and completely.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule orders for customer sales and intercompany transfers in ERP system.
- Weekly and end of month sales order reconciliation for 3rd party offsites
- Shipping, receiving, keep track of outgoing and incoming feedstocks.
- Work with various plants and CSRs to maintain accurate and current ship dates.
- Daily inventories offsites reports
- Understand plant product slate and product inventory availability to maximize shipments.
- Collaborate with internal Logistics team (truck and rail) on most efficient and optimal transportation needs including handling the truck dock and rail loading capabilities, order prioritization, and input on scheduling and rescheduling orders.
- Coordinate with external transportation providers and their systems (trucking and rail).
- Collaborate with Demand Planning for order prioritization needs.
- Create, organize, and distribute rail and truck loading schedules daily.
- Process orders in SAP and distribute appropriate paperwork as needed.
- Work with 3rd party offsite apps to set up new carriers and have drivers trained for access.
- Maintain list of approved carriers for 3rd party offsites & distribute monthly.
- Knowledge of 3rd party procedures / requirements for loading, transfers, and truck
- Create and retain records and provide information for internal / external auditors.
- Work in partnership with corporate and other functional areas to resolve problems as needed.
- Provide feedback to management on process improvement opportunities.
- Knowledge of the quality of product. Work with peers for waivers for off-spec quality shipments
- Backfill support for purchasing duties as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
