PURPOSE :
The Plant Manager is responsible for all aspects of plant performance. All objectives will be met through a team effort that assures product will be produced in a safe, productive manner at the highest quality standards. He or she will also delegate authority and direct the management team in production, quality, materials control, maintenance, packaging, and shipping.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure a safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor plant processes for high quality.
- Manage the daily operation of the manufacturing facility.
- Manage operations through four direct reports.
- Remain in compliance with all HSE and ISO requirements.
- Prepare, analyze, and issue production and performance reports.
- Create climate of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Collaborate with maintenance management to develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCES :
BS / BA Degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.5 years' management experience in a manufacturing setting.3 years' experience as a Plant Manager with full operational control.Experience with Lean Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing methodologies.Experience with batch blending / manufacturing, liquid transfer, and packaging operations.Occasional domestic travel.PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCES :
Lubricant, grease and / or fuel blending and packagingLean Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing certificationCOMPETENCIES :
