Purpose Statement:
The Unique Aide plays a vital role in furthering the mission of Calvary Christian Academy. The unique aide works to meet the unique needs of a specific child. The unique assistant co-labors with the teacher to disciple the student, spiritually, academically, and socially.
Scope:
The unique aide aids the student in the classroom, halls, restrooms, playground, and cafeteria. The assistant interacts with the classroom teacher, staff, faculty, church staff, and parents to meet the needs of the student.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Adhere to specified professional dress.
- Supervise the student during class lessons and seat work.
- Help reinforce skills and give personalized assistance when needed
- Escort the student throughout the school day.
- Worship and attend chapel with the student.
- Provide prayer and Godly counsel when needed.
- Assist with behavior management.
- Assist specials teachers with the student as requested.
- Assist with organization of student’s daily folders and assignments
- Assist students with daily living skills as needed.
- Monitor students on the playground at recess.
- Make copies and prepare materials for lessons and special activities as requested by the teacher.
- Help decorate and tear down bulletin boards in the classroom and hallway.
- Keep up with correspondence in and out of the house by way of email and mailbox in the office.
- Other tasks as assigned by the teacher.
- Supervise children at morning drop-off, in the cafeteria during lunchtime, and at afternoon pick-up.
- Working with childcare during orientation and teacher planning days
- Serve under administrative direction as the need arises.

- Two years of college education is preferred.
- Computer skills.

- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
Work Schedule:
Full time (40 hours/week); however, may be required to work an evening or weekend day to attend a CCA event, or assist with a special project or in an circumstantial emergency affecting the church facilities.
