Description:

OptiCool Technologies is a leader in innovative thermal management solutions for the data center industry. Our focus is on delivering energy-efficient and reliable cooling technologies that meet the demands of modern data centers. This position is responsible for the Project Management, Mechanical & Controls Assembly Departments, with a specific focus on supporting the Opticool Solutions Business Unit, including an oversight of the related Materials Management Department activities. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, Personnel Development, Process & Procedure Development, All Project Activity, Contribution to the Calvary Operations Leadership Team, Overall Opticool Solutions Continuous Improvement Initiatives, Support of the Calvary 5-Point Business Plan.


  • Develop the required processes & procedures for the manufacture & assembly of Opticool pumps and heat exchangers to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Schedule workload to ensure product is completed to meet due dates.
  • Assist and or head up product certification requirements such as CSA, CRN, Brazing Certification and others.
  • Ensure the workload is supported by appropriate resources.
  • Organize the department to ensure good product flow along with inventory identified and located in optimum locations.
  • Interface with the Engineering & Sales teams in support of product design, development and sales activities.
  • Support the installation activity, which is lead & managed by the engineering team.
  • Manage projects within budget, quality and schedule for the Opticool Solutions C.A.M. Mechanical & Controls Build Teams.
  • Assist with the managing of project within budget, quality & schedule for the related Opticool Solutions Materials Management Team.
  • Must be able to motivate and lead build professionals & the Opticool Solutions C.A.M. production workforce.
  • Excellent communication skills: inclusive of but not limited to, confidence balanced with empathy, humility and creativity.
  • Strong Leadership Skills, to mentor & coach direct reports and other Opticool Solutions team members.
  • Ability to balance competing interests such as, customer and corporate goals
  • Outgoing with the ability to resolve issues and manage tasks to completion
  • Ability to identify and manage areas of risk by creating check lists and final inspection check off format.
  • Track, analyze, report and estimate project costs on detailed level. Using Excel and database reporting, verify actual costs and estimate future costs on labor and materials.
  • Establish a competitive environment to optimize the production process within Opticool Solutions C.A.M.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & MS Project
  • Motivational leader for Team members and ability to offer encouragement and direction through difficult tasks. Including the development of future leadership.
  • The ability to organize overall performance tracking for projects and continuous improvement initiatives, to ensure the team is tracking as expected with added focus of further optimization.
  • Intermittent travel to customers’ sites may be needed.
  • Ability to lead and work closely with Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineer, Electricians, and Toolmakers during all project phases
  • Ability to write periodic customer & corporate reports
  • Design and build assembly fixtures as need to support the process.
Requirements:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical/ Electro Engineering or Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing technology or equivalent work-related experience.

The successful Opticool Solutions Commercial Manager will have the ability to balance personnel & process development, along with project cost, quality and schedule. In addition, the successful Opticool Solutions Commercial Manager will have the ability to keep stakeholders (corporate, customer) and supporting team (employees, suppliers) engaged, informed and satisfied with project & process activity.
