Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our Christ-centered educational team at Calvary Learning Center. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, stimulating environment for young children, guiding their development through engaging, developmentally appropriate, and Christ-centered learning experiences. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles, classroom management skills, and effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues, aligning with our mission to "Build a Foundation for Life-Long Learning."
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate, Christ-centered lesson plans that promote learning in areas such as math, language, and social-emotional skills.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom that reflects Christian values and encourages exploration, creativity, and spiritual growth.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline techniques aligned with CLC’s philosophy of self-control and respect.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and provide necessary accommodations as per Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support children’s development, sharing progress and addressing concerns collaboratively.
- Provide care for toddlers as needed, ensuring their safety, well-being, and adherence to CLC safety protocols.
- Maintain a well-organized, visually engaging classroom environment consistent with CLC standards for displays and curriculum materials.
- Participate in professional development, regular staff meetings, and school events as required.
- Uphold CLC’s commitment to biblical teaching and a Pentecostal distinctive.
Qualifications
- Group Teacher Certification, CDA, or a degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
- Experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting.
- Strong knowledge of Christian education principles and child development.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A genuine passion for teaching young children within a private, faith-based setting.
- Active commitment to CLC’s mission and philosophy, reflecting a Christian lifestyle.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
