Job Overview: Are you passionate about early childhood education? Calvary Lutheran Church and School is currently seeking dedicated Infant Teachers (Teaching Assistants) to join our team. As an Infant Teacher you play a crucial role in the care and education of children aged 6 weeks - 12 months.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the implementation of engaging lesson plans.
- Supervise and nurture children
- Foster interactive and educational experiences through structured and unstructured activities.
- Maintain a clean and secure environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Work harmoniously with fellow staff members and classroom teachers.
- Demonstrate exemplary character traits, embodying our ministry's vision of nurturing and caring for children.
Salary is based on education level and years of demonstrable experience.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Meets Physical & Cognitive requirements of managing multiple infants.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability in teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Understanding of child welfare principles, creating a safe and nurturing environment.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (training available if not already certified).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license.
