Calvary Robotics is recognized as a leading manufacturer of robotic platforms, automated production systems, and associated technologies. We are seeking a senior mechanical design engineer with at least 5 years' experience in conceptual design of automated equipment according to customer specifications. Capable of leading complex designs of large single or multi-module custom systems. Concept, design, detail, create BOM’s and release to the shop, reliable, cost-effective automation and test solutions that meet the as sold metrics for cycle rate, uptime, and quality while meeting the critical milestones and design budget.
Day in the Life
Prepare detailed designs of unusual, complex, original designs,
Performs unusually difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, and design expertise.
Ensures that anticipated problems in manufacture, assembly, installation, and operation are resolved by the design / drawings produced.
Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on knowledge of the design intent.
Concept, design, detail, create BOM’s and release to the shop, reliable, cost-effective automation and test solutions that meet the as sold metrics for cycle rate, uptime, and quality while meeting the critical milestones and design budget.
- Develop detailed designs and specifications for mechanical assembly and test equipment, dies / tools, and controls, using SolidWorks
- Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
- Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
- Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment
- Present proposed design at the internal and customer design reviews
- Create a Bill of Materials for the design
- Print and release drawings and BOM to shop for build
- Assist in the assembly and debug of the design as needed
Manage your time and tasks to meet the overall requirements of the project.
Manage other designers to meet the overall requirements of the project.
Ability to Work closely with other Mechanical Engineers, Project Managers, Controls Engineers, Electrical and Mechanical Build Technicians during different project phases.
