What are the responsibilities and job description for the Young Adults' Leader position at Calvary Worship Center?
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Young Adults Leader oversees our Young Adult ministry ages 18-30 by providing strong leadership, spiritual direction, volunteers oversight, and solid biblical teaching to reach young adults with the love of Christ. The Young Adult Leader is to equip, connect, grow, and develop young adults in who God has called them to be, while being in alignment with Beyond Sunday and CWC’s Life Group Focused Model.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
Overseeing Leadership Team & Volunteers
- Equips and develops leaders and volunteers. This includes overseeing existing teams and establishing new teams as the ministry grows.
- Serves as the main point of contact for leaders and volunteers. This person will be responsible for all aspects of leadership development. This includes training current leaders on how to equip and train new potential leaders that serve in this ministry, with emphasis on discipleship.
- Recruits and trains leaders and volunteers to serve alongside this ministry. This includes meeting with individuals to go over the volunteer description, time commitments, and expectations included in the leadership packet.
Everlast & Life Groups
- Works directly with the Life Group Director and Life Group leaders to ensure that Life Groups continue to develop and grow.
- Cultivates a welcoming environment on the bimonthly large-group gathering (Everlast), which includes intentionally creating opportunities for connection and encouragement among attendees.
Teaching & Coordinating
- Is knowledgeable in the Word of God and able to teach the truths of Scripture. Plans, studies, and creates series/messages for bimonthly teaching at Everlast.
- Coordinates and maintains Everlast structure, including set-up and tear down, check-in, inputting worship and sermons into ProPresenter, and end-of-night rally.
