QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, this individual must be highly relational and able to perform each essential duty with excellence.
Manage, write, edit, and implement donor communications through e-mail, print, mail, and social media, under the guidance of the Director of Marketing, to ensure consistent branding, messaging, and scheduling.
Provide reporting and analysis on fundraising trends, successes, and opportunities.
Works with and oversees development staff to provide consistent fundraising analysis, data, and forecast reporting to assess strategy success, support the generation of annual organization budgets, and track development campaigns. This includes monitoring donor information through the database.
Engage, partner, and train staff outside of the development team on fundraising campaigns, as necessary.
Remain fully engaged in industry best practices, trends, and analysis so that Calvary stays at the forefront of development. This will require attending conferences, engaging with industry professionals, and maintaining a connection to industry literature.
Responsible for a yearly development plan that includes strategies around major gifts, monthly giving, corporate matching, an annual fund, capital campaigns, end-of-year appeals, membership, and donor stewardship.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree is required. A Master's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Philanthropic Students, or Business is a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
5-10 years of significant fundraising experience running both annual and capital campaigns, specifically within a non-profit is desired.
2-5 years of people and department management.
Results-oriented with the ability to consistently meet or exceed fundraising goals.
Strong interpersonal, organization, and managerial skills.
Demonstrated excellence in constituent communications with the ability to tell a story with passion and urgency; as well as build relationships and grow with current and potential donors.
Ability to create, present, and implement annual/multi-year development strategies.
Proven ability to handle significant responsibility; work independently and as a team player, while managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated superior interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation skills
Work strategically with the leadership team and teams of staff, parents, volunteers and community partners.
Proficiency in technology applications such as Google Workspace and Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge, as well as introducing new cutting-edge technologies.
Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects and prioritize day-to-day tasks on tight deadlines.
Excellent writing and editing skills with proficiency in AP Style.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated photography skills.
Skilled at analyzing marketing data and trends.
Proficiency in:
Social media and content-sharing platforms
Cloud services and apps (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
Website administration or content management system (Experience in Blackbaud Education products a plus)
Graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign and Canva a plus
Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Facebook ads a plus
The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, creative, and a solid writer and editor. This person will have great attention to detail, a passion for storytelling through various media, and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
This full-time position handles donor communications, fundraising reporting and analysis, and creating and overseeing the development team.
