Calvary Day School is seeking a dedicated and creative STEM Teacher for grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade. The STEM Teacher’s main role is to create a stimulating learning environment in which every child is expected to reach their academic potential while being nurtured with Christian values. This is a full-time, ten (10) month employment opportunity and will perform the following functions:

Essential Job Functions:
Plans a balanced STEM program and organizes daily class time using the school-approved STEM curriculum. The program will include a mix of participation as well as content and skills instruction.
Foster a growth mindset, encouraging experimentation, collaboration, and perseverance.
Lead students in hands-on, collaborative projects that inspire critical thinking and creativity.
Organize and facilitate student participation in S.T.E.M.-related events like science fairs or coding competitions.
Manage S.T.E.M. resources, including lab equipment and materials, ensuring proper maintenance and accessibility.
Collaborate with other teachers to create interdisciplinary projects and integrate S.T.E.M. into other subjects.
Integrates biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities.
Employs a variety of instructional aids (including technology), methods, and materials that will provide creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university is required preferably in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in early childhood or elementary education highly preferred.
Content knowledge and experience in science and engineering highly preferred
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in elementary education, preferably in STEM field.
Demonstrated ability in adapting curriculum and lessons to various student needs.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, parents, faculty, staff, and administrators.
Ability and experience working with students with a variety of learning styles is highly desired.
