The Calvert County Government's Technology Services Department is seeking a Systems Analyst I to manage the analysis, automation, and re-engineering of business processes to deliver technical solutions across several software platforms. This role involves serving as a technical lead and coordinating new enterprise software projects, system upgrades, testing, and general maintenance while maintaining comprehensive technical documentation. The Systems Analyst I will also develop and manage integrations between enterprise systems and provide support for SQL databases. Proficiency in one or several coding languages, such as SQL, JavaScript, or C , is highly desired to effectively fulfill the technical aspects of the role.Primary responsibility for this position is configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise applications such as Infor Public Sector, Workday, and ServiceNow. Key responsibilities include writing SQL queries for data extraction and cleanup, implementing software upgrades and security patches, and developing workflows within platforms like ServiceNow.Performs technical applications work related to the identification, development, and life cycle support of business application systems. Work involves systems analysis and design; programming and/or solution identification; installation, configuration, database management, and system security for business applications software.Essential Job FunctionsServes as a technical program manager in the analysis and automation and/or re-engineering of business processes provided by the department stakeholders Translates business requirements into technical processes and system solutions that are aligned with Technology Services strategic plans, and industry best practices.Coordinates and leads the installation, testing, maintenance, and upgrades of software according to vendor procedures and department stakeholder needs. Develops and maintains technical documentation for the Applications team day to day.Develops integrations as necessary between enterprise software, manipulates data, provides reports, and makes information widely available to the general public or internal working groups. Maintains and supports relational databases used by the county's software solutions.Coordinates and maintains business disaster recovery plans including backup and recovery procedures with cognizant Department Head and Technology Services Teams.Serves as a project resolution manager for end users’ reported problems. Works with internal Technology Services teams, Departments contacts, and vendors to resolve these issues in a timely fashion.Manages smaller system implementations and upgrades.Other DutiesPerforms related work as required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (These are pre-employment KSA that apply only to Essential Job Functions.)Knowledge of—Analysis, architect, and implementation of Software systems.Integrations ranging from out of the box connectors to custom development.Management and administration of relational databases.Principles and best practices of computer network security.
