Calvert County Nursing Center is looking for a Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator to join our team!
The Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator is responsible for the organization, planning, directing, coordinating and evaluation of all infection
prevention and control measures as well as education of staff and residents in accordance with Federal, State, Local regulations, ANA, and standards of practice for the prevention and control of infections.Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator collaborates with the Director of Nursing Services, Medical Director, CDC, OSHA and state and local health departments to oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program and Employee Health program within the facility.
Qualifications :
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Long Term Care.
Demonstrate competence as an educator and as a Nursing clinician.
Demonstrate human relation skills.
Effective time management, organizational skills with the ability to prioritize duties.
- Must be detailed orientated and be able to make decisions independently when circumstances warrant action
- Nursing home experience is a plus
